A clear guide to Rajasthan's major recruitment channels — RPSC, RSSB/RSMSSB, Rajasthan Police, the education department, teacher and PTI/PET posts, and sports opportunities — with eligibility, age-limit, application and preparation advice.
Rajasthan runs one of the largest state recruitment calendars in India. Lakhs of candidates appear each year for posts ranging from clerks and sub-inspectors to teachers, PTI/PET instructors and university staff. For Physical Education students, the state is especially important because school and departmental PTI/PET posts are recruited here regularly. This page explains the main bodies, the typical process and how to prepare — without inventing any vacancy, date or salary figure.
RPSC conducts recruitment for state services, subordinate services, school lecturers, assistant professors and various departmental posts. Notifications, syllabi and admit cards are published on the commission's official website.
The Staff Selection Board handles a large volume of non-gazetted posts — clerks, technicians, foresters, and importantly PTI/PET and other school-staff recruitments when notified. This is the body most PE candidates watch.
Constable and sub-inspector recruitments are conducted by the police department. These involve a written paper and a physical-efficiency test; a fitness background helps but the official standards are what matter.
Government school teacher recruitment — PRT, TGT, PGT, PTI and PET — falls under the school/education department. The exact qualification, eligibility test and selection method are given in each advertisement.
State universities recruit teaching and non-teaching staff through their own notifications. PE and sports posts in universities follow the UGC/NCTE framework where applicable.
Rajasthan offers several routes for PE candidates: school PTI/PET posts through the Staff Selection Board, Physical Education Teacher and sports-coach positions in government schools and bodies, and sports-quota openings where achievement certificates carry weight. A D.P.Ed, B.P.Ed, M.P.Ed or B.P.E.S degree, with NCTE recognition for teacher-education programmes, is the usual academic base.
For the physical stage, train for the events and qualifying marks named in the notification — never guess them from old papers. Eligibility is post-specific. A clerk post may need 12th or graduation; a PTI post needs the PE qualification named; a lecturer post needs a master's with NET/SET as specified. Read the "Essential Qualification" clause carefully — it overrides any general rule.
Minimum and maximum age, and any relaxation for reserved categories, domicile or women, are printed in the notification. Do not assume a single fixed age; check the clause for your category.
Typically a written exam, sometimes a physical-efficiency test (for police/PTI/PET), document verification and, for some posts, an interview or demo. The scheme of examination — papers, marks, negative marking — is given in the notification.
For certain group posts the state uses a Common Eligibility Test to shortlist candidates before the departmental exam. Whether a post uses CET, and its weightage, is decided by the state and printed in the notification — do not treat CET as applicable to every post.

Major recruiters include the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB/RSMSSB), Rajasthan Police, the state education department and various universities. The exact body is named in each official notification.
Not always. Some posts are open to all Indian citizens, while others give reservation or preference to Rajasthan domicile holders. The notification's domicile and reservation clause is final.

Through PTI/PET and Physical Education Teacher posts issued by the education department or boards, plus sports-quota openings. Keep D.P.Ed/B.P.Ed/M.P.Ed certificates, NCTE recognition and sports certificates ready.
Only through the official portal named in the notification. RPSC and RSSB publish advertisements on their own official websites; apply there and keep the registration number safe.
Age limits vary by post and category and are printed in the notification. Reserved-category relaxation, if any, is also given there. Do not assume a fixed number.
